Raja Chiky is currently director of Innovation at ISEP. She also serves as committee executive member of ISEP. She obtained an HDR (Confirmation of Leading Research Capabilities) from UPMC University in 2016. She hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Telecom ParisTech obtained after a Master degree in data mining and an engineering degree in computer science. She took part to many European and National projects in collaboration with universities, research lab and companies. She is also expert for various research funding programs (H2020, ANR, FUI, etc.).
Her research interests include outlier detection, data stream management, recommender systems, and cloud computing.

Dr. Lina Mroueh
Head of research ECoS Team, HDR
Lina Mroueh received her engineering and her MSc degrees respectively from Telecom ParisTech and the University of Pierre and Marie Curie in the same year 2006 and then her PhD degree from Telecom ParisTech in 2010. She obtained her habilitation for leading research from the Sorbonne University in 2019. She is currently an associate professor and the head of the research group "electronics and communications systems" at the Institut Supérieur d’Electronique de Paris. Her research interests are mainly focused in the PHY layer design of wireless optical communications, and cross-layer PHY & MAC design for cellular, sensor and ad-hoc networks. I conducted several research projects in partnership with academical and industrial partners: Thales Communication Group, Telecom ParisTech, CEA-Leti, le CNAM, Sequans Communications, INSA Lyon, Centrale Supelec.

Prof. Florence Rossant
Head of research DaSSIP Team
Florence Rossant is currently head of the DASSIP Research Group of the LISITE Laboratory. She holds a HDR (Confirmation of Leading Research Capabilities) from Paris-Descartes University and a PhD in Signal-Image processing from ENST (Télécom ParisTech).
She is specialized in image processing, applied in various application fields, especially in the medical domain. Her main contributions are related to the modeling of a priori knowledge in the segmentation and pattern recognition algorithms. She is a member of the PARIS research team at the Quinze-Vingts Hospital, a team working on high-resolution imaging of the human eye, from acquisition systems to clinical applications. Florence Rossant has contributed to several collaborative research projects supported by public funds, involving industry, universities and research centers, including 2 ANR projects, 2 FUI projects, one RHU project.

Dr. Frédéric Amiel
ECos Team
Frédéric Amiel got his DEA (MSc) in computers system in 1985, one year after his engineering degree in electronics. He worked for several small companies as a hardware developer and joined ISEP in 1992. Since this time, he is assistant professor. He has worked as a consulting engineer for several companies and also, he made judicial expertise. He is now in charge of the Electronics Program and the Embedded Systems Specialization at ISEP and a member of the ECOS research team. His research focuses on hardware architectures for specialized computing.

Dr. Yousra Chabchoub
ECos Team
Yousra Chabchoub is an associate professor at ISEP since September 2010. She is head of the Networks and Telecom teaching domain. Her research interests include data mining, data streams analysis and real-time anomalies detection. She completed her PhD in INRIA, in close collaboration with Orange Labs on the analysis and modelling of IP traffic. Then she joined the BILAB (Business Intelligence LABoratory) in Télécom-ParisTech, where she worked with EDF R&D on the analysis of Linky smart meters data.
She also received her engineering degree from Télécom SudParis, with a specialization in Network’s Services Architectures and her Master’s degree in Networks from Pierre et Marie Curie University.
She significantly contributed to several research projects such as OSCAR (ANR), Waves (FUI) and Bike Sharing Systems (PGMO) and co-supervised 2 PhD students.

Dr. Zakia Kazi-Aoul
DaSSIP Team
Zakia KAZI-AOUL is an associate professor in Computer Science and responsible of the Computer Science teaching domain. She began her career in research by integrating the DEA distributed architecture at the University of Paris XI, Orsay. After a PHD at Telecom ParisTech in the 3S team obtained in 2008, she completed a post-doctorate at Telecom SudParis in the CNRS SAMOVAR laboratory (ACMES team). Her current research activities concern the management of semantic data streams on a large scale. She is also particularly interested in educational innovation, and more recently in collaborative learning.

Prof. Maria Trocan

Maria Trocan received her M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Politehnica University of Bucharest in 2004, the Ph.D. in Signal and Image Processing from Telecom ParisTech in 2007 and the Habilitation to Lead Researches from Pierre & Marie Curie University in 2014. In May 2009 she joined ISEP, where between 2011 and 2018 she is responsible of the Signal Processing Program and since March 2018 she is in charge of the Data Science Program and Scientific Integrity referent. She is Deputy Editor in Chief for IEEE Open Journal on Circuits and Systems, Associate Editor for Springer Journal on Signal, Image and Video Processing etc. In 2014 she has been elected IEEE France Vice-President for Student Activities and IEEE Circuits and Systems Board of Governors member. She has been re-elected as IEEE France Vice-President for Student Activities in 2017 and Chair of Technical Activities and Membership Development in 2020.

Dr. Shohreh Ahvar
DaSSIP Team
Shohreh Ahvar is an Associate Professor at the engineering school of ISEP, Paris, where she is currently the Head of the Software Engineering major. Prior to joining ISEP, Shohreh was a postdoctoral fellow at Inria, Paris. She obtained her PhD degree in Computer Science and Telecommunications from the Institut Mines-Telecom, Telecom SudParis in co-accreditation with the Sorbonne University, Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris 6). Shohreh has been involved in a number of projects, both national and international, including FUSE-IT, IDEAC, USNB, Next Generation CDNs. Shohreh also worked as a collaborating researcher at the Concordia University, Canada, on a project funded by Ericsson. Shohreh has published more than 20 papers in the domain of Cloud, WSN, Middleware and Virtualization and has invented a network-aware resource allocation method in distributing clouds, which has been granted an European Patent. Shohreh has often been invited as a member of Technical committees for international conferences and workshops.

Dr. Rafael Angarita
DaSSIP Team
Rafael Angarita is an Associate Professor at Isep since September 2017 where he is the head of the Information Systems track. He is also an Associate Researcher at Inria, MiMove team, where he was a postdoctoral researcher before joining Isep. He obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University Paris-Dauphine - PSL Research University in December 2015 and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the Simon Bolivar University. He has participated in several projects such as EIT Digital Civic Tech and Participatory Democracy, Inria Technological development assisting research for SocialBus, IPL Inria@SilliconValley, and EIT Digital CivicBudget and in an ongoing collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). He has also been a visiting scholar at the University of Leicester (2014) and UC Berkeley (2016).
The general goal of his research is to make it easy to connect the world’s applications, data, devices, and people by leveraging Software Engineering, Service Computing and Middleware research.

Dr. Alexis Brenes
ECos Team
Alexis Brenes, PhD, was born in Brussels, Belgium, in 1987 and has been living in France since 2002. He earned his PhD degree from Université Paris-Saclay in 2016 in the field of microelectronics under the supervision of Pr. J. Juillard. His academic record includes an Engineering degree from Ecole Centrale Paris (ECP), Châtenay-Malabry, France in 2010 and two Master’s degrees in Physics and Nanotechnology from Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS), Cachan, France, in 2012 and 2013. After a post-doctoral research contract in the C2N laboratory in the field of energy harvesting based on active materials, he is now associate professor at ISEP. His research interests cover the design, test and optimization of nonlinear multiphysics systems with applications in energy harvesting, sensors, MEMS and nonlinear oscillators.

Dr. Patricia Condes-Cespedes
DaSSIP Team
Patricia Conde Céspedes is an assistant professor at ISEP engineering school and a member of the DaSSIP team of the LISITE Laboratory. Her teaching activities concern data science subjects such as Machine Learning, Probability and Statistics, Algorithmic, etc. She has supervised projects for students coming from prestigious universities such as Stanford University. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher at L2TI, University Paris 13. In 2013, she defended her Ph.D. thesis about graph clustering/community detection at Sorbonne University Campus Pierre et Marie Curie. Before her Ph.D., she received a Master degree in statistics and a B.Sc. degree in industrial engineering. She participated in the Big Data analysis projects REQUEST and POLLEN. In Bolivia, her native country, she was awarded the Guido Capra Jemio prize for being the best student of the major. She was also awarded twice by the French Government to get her Master’s degree and her PhD thesis.

Dr. Mariam Dème Camara

Mariam D. CAMARA is an associate professor in electronics in ISEP (Institut Supérieur d’Electronique de Paris). She obtained an engineering degree in electronics and digital technologies at Polytech Nantes in 2012 and a PhD in micro and nanoelectronics at Aix-Marseille University in 2016. She gained research experience both at the IM2NP (Institut Matériaux Microélectronique Nanoscience de Provence) and LISITE (Laboratoire d’Informatique , Signal, Télécommunication et Electronique) laboratories. Her research has been primarily concerned on inkjet printing. She realized different sensors (temperature and pressure) on flexible substrate using this technology for medical application. She continues her research on flexible printed electronics and energy Harvesting.

Dr. Kevin Malleron
ECos Team
Former technician (Electronic systems technical degree), Kevin Malleron join the Ecole Normal Superieur in 2011 and widen his field through applied physics before getting back to instrumentation and measure by joining ESPCI in 2014. His fields of research (PHD at Sorbonne university in 2018), wireless power transfer using magnetoelectric materials, reflects his studies, half-way between materials, instrumention and electronics.
His works, applied to the biomedical field, led him to obtain a best poster award in the JETSAN 2017 conference, the bronze award EIT Health in 2018 along with the ANR BIOMEN in order to keep developing this multi-physical technologie. He joined ISEP – exclusive partener in France with Stanford University – at the start of the 2018 school year as an associate professor and take the head of the analog electronics unit in the embedded systems master degree.

Dr. Yahia Medjahdi
ECos Team
Yahia Medjahdi, received the Engineering degree from the National Polytechnic School, Algiers, the M.Sc. degree in signal processing for communications from the Institute Galilée, University of Paris XIII, in 2008 and the Ph.D. degree in July 2012 from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM). He is currently an assistant professor at Institut Supérieur d’Électronique de Paris (ISEP). Prior to that, he worked as a researcher in the CEDRIC laboratory of CNAM, assistant professor at Khemis-Miliana University in Algeria and served as a postdoctoral researcher in the ICTEAM laboratory at the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), Belgium. He has been involved in several ICT-European and French projects (PHYDYAS, EMPHATIC and WONG5) dealing with waveform design for 5G and PMR systems. His research interests include multicarrier waveform design for Beyond-5G, cooperative communications, PAPR reduction and non-linearity of power amplifiers. He has published more than 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences, and one book chapter.

Dr. Jérémie Sublime
DaSSIP Team
Jérémie Sublime is an Associate Professor at the ISEP since September 2016, where he is a member of the DaSSIP Team (Data Science, Signal and Image Processing), and the head of the Data Intelligence Major. He is also a full researcher at the LIPN - CNRS UMR 7030, where he is part of the A3 team specialized in Machine Learning.
He got a PhD in Applied Computer Science from AgroParisTech (University Paris-Saclay) in November 2016. he also owns an Engineer Degree in Software engineering & Computer Vision from the EISTI Cergy, as well as a Master’s Degree in Computer and Information Technologies from INHA University in South Korea.

Prof. Andrei Vladimirescu
ECos Team
Andrei Vladimirescu (F’17) received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in EECS from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a key contributor to the SPICE simulator. He pioneered electrical simulation on parallel computers with the CLASSIE simulator as part of his PhD. He is the author of ”The SPICE Book” published by J. Wiley and Sons.
For many years Andrei was R&D director leading the design and implementation of innovative software and hardware Electronic Design Automation products for companies such as Analog Devices Inc., Valid Logic and Cadence. Currently he is Professor at the University of California at Berkeley and the Institut Superieur d’Electronique de Paris, ISEP. His research activities are in the areas of design, simulation and modeling of semiconductor CMOS ICs, circuits with new devices and circuits for quantum computing.
Andrei is an IEEE Life Fellow and a Circuits and Systems Society Board of Governors member.

Dr. Patrick Wang
DaSSIP Team
Patrick Wang holds a position of Associate Professor of Computer Science at ISEP since 2017. There, he teaches several programming courses and is the Head of the Software Engineering Major. At ISEP, he is also a member of the DaSSIP research group and conducts and supervises research projects at the frontier of Human-Computer Interaction and Computer Science Education. In particular, his research focuses on designing innovative interfaces for programming beginners.
Before his appointment at ISEP, he obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Educational Technologies from Université Grenoble-Alpes, France in 2016, and then worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the Knowledge Media Institute at the Open University, UK.

Dr. Xun Zhang

Dr. Xun ZHANG, current Associate professor in ISEP (www.isep.fr), Paris, France. He obtained in October 2009 the Ph.D. degree in the Instrumentation and Microelectronics (IM) Science at the University of Nancy. From 2009 to 2011, he completed a PostDoc in the SCEE laboratory in CentralSupélec, France. From 2011 ,He joined ISEP as an associate professor. His current research interests are PHY layer optimization for 5G cellular networks and VLC systems, and VLC-based indoor high accuracy positioning algorithm and tracking algorithm. He is interesting on the auto-reconfigurable management method and control strategies in FPGA for cognitive radio system. He has been involved in serval international projects (Horizon H2020 IoRL, Franco-Chine project, and Orange foundation RoBo). Currently, his team has one PLC-VLC high data rate demonstration, one VLC based indoor triangulation demonstration platform and one USRP-based Software Defined Radio platform for Visible light communication. His team has wide exchange program with oversea academic institute like (UK: Brunel university; China: Tsinghua university; HK: Hong Kong university of science and technology) In France, he has a close relation with CEA LETI and Oledcomm who are the leader in VLC market in France.

Dr. Ilaria Renna

Ilaria Renna a obtenu d’abord une Licence puis un Master 1 et 2 d’Ingénierie Médicale à l’Université Campus Biomedico de Rome.
Elle a ensuite obtenu un double doctorat à l’Université Sorbonne de Paris (Laboratoire des Systèmes intelligents et de la Robotique) et à l’Université de Gênes (Italian Institut of Technologies) en travaillant dans le domaine de l’Interaction Homme-Machine non-verbale basée sur le geste. Pendant son Post-Doctorat au Laboratoire Structures Formelles du Langage du CNRS, elle a participé à deux projets multidisciplinaires, coordonnant la recherche sur l’analyse et la détection des Langues des Signes. Elle a collaboré aussi avec l’Université du Salento (Italie) pour des études sur la modélisation des maladies infectieuses. Ces intérêts scientifiques sont focalisés sur l’Interaction Homme-Machine, le Computer Science Education et le Traitement des données médicales.

Prof. Carlos Faouzi Bader
Director of research
Received in 2002 the Ph.D. degree (Hons.) in telecommunications from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain. He joined the Centre Technològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), Barcelona- Spain, as Research Associate in 2002, where he was a Senior Research Associate from 2006 to 2013. From June 2013-2020, he has been as Associate Professor with CentraleSupélec. Since 2017, he is Honorary Adjunct Professor with University Technology Sydney, Australia. From 2017-2020, he has been the Head of the Signals and Communications (SC) department of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications of Rennes (IETR)-France.
He has been involved in several EU projects from the 5th-7th EC frameworks (eight EU projects and ten national projects).
He published more than 32 journals and 128 papers conferences, over 13 book chapters, and 5 edited books. He served as the General Chair, the Technical Program Co-Chair, and the Technical Co-Chair at numerous major IEEE ComSoc and VTS conferences.

Dr. Lionel Trojman

Lionel Trojman was born in Marseille, France. He received the B.Sc. degree in physics from the Faculty of Saint-Charles, University of Provence, Marseille, France, in 2002. He received the M.Sc. degree in physics applied to micro- and nano-electronics and in electrical engineering in microelectronic and Telecommunication from the Ecole Polytechnique Universitaire de Marseille, University of Provence, in 2004. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at the KULeuven in partnership with the IMEC, Belgium, in 2009. He was working as full time Professor to the electrical and electronics engineering department of the USFQ, Ecuador, since 2009 and he is currently working as professor for Isep, France, since 2019. His current research interests include transport for ultra-scaled MOSFET (down to 22nm) with UTEOT high-k dielectrics with conventional and novel architectures (FDSOI) for CMOS technologies. He is also working on memory devices such as ReRAM, MTJ, and finally power electronic devices implemented in GaN technology. Recently he is involved in Integrated circuit topic using 180, 90 and 32/28nm technology node ofr IoT application.

Dr. Nouredine Tamani

I have a double profile: Engineer and Ph.D. I received my Ph.D. degree in computer science from the university of Rennes 1 (France) in 2012. My research activities encompass the following main topics: knowledge representation (DL, DataLog+-, ontologies), inconsistency handling, user preferences and flexible querying, fuzzy sets, fuzzy logics, and decision support systems. Currently, I’m an associate professor in cybersecurity and AI at ISEP (Institut Supérieur d’Electronique de Paris), France. With more than 4 years of research in the field of personal Data Protection and Privacy preservation, my current areas of focus are, but not limited to, digital trust, anomaly detection in IoT based applications for user data protection and user privacy preservation, reasoning under uncertainty for context explanation, and aggregation operators for decision support systems.

Dr. Samia Oukemeni
ECoS Team
Samia Oukemeni received her Engineering degree in Telecommunications and Networks in 2010 from the “Institut National des Postes et Télécommunication” (Morocco) and an MS degree in Information Systems Security from Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (Morocco) in 2016. She obtained her Ph.D. in information security and data privacy from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Spain) in 2019. Furthermore, she worked as an information security engineer and project manager at the Ministry of Interior (Morocco) from 2010 to 2014 and as a junior researcher at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya from 2019 to 2020.
Her research focuses on network and system security and privacy, with a special interest in distributed networks. She was a member of the research group KISON (K-ryptography and Information Security for Open Networks) at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and a member of Centre de recerca en ciberseguretat de Catalunya (CYBERCAT), Spain.
Currently, she is an associate professor at ISEP.

Dr. Hélène Urien

I got my PhD degree in signal and image processing at Télécom ParisTech (75) in 2018. The subject focused on segmentation of brain tumors on PET-MR images.
I was then a research engineer in medical image processing and machine learning applied to brain tumor MR images at Neurospin, CEA (91).
I joined ISEP in November 2019, as an associate professor in signal and data processing.
My fields of research include machine learning and image processing applied to medical images.
