A look back at the Isep seminar: towards intelligent and secure wireless systems

9 January 2026

On November 27, 2025, Isep and LISITE brought the scientific community together to address the challenges of intelligent, energy-efficient, and secure wireless communications, ranging from AI applied to signals to physical-layer security for 6G.

On November 27, 2025, Isep and its research laboratory LISITE organized a scientific seminar dedicated to the current and future challenges of intelligent, energy-efficient, and secure wireless communication systems.

Organized by Dr. Wafa NJIMA, Associate Professor at Isep, the event took place on the Notre-Dame de Lorette campus in Issy-les-Moulineaux and brought together researchers, faculty members, and PhD students around cutting-edge research, highlighting the excellence of the work carried out at Isep.

Structured around three in-depth presentations, the seminar offered a coherent overview of the major challenges facing next-generation wireless communications. Speakers included Ife Olalekan EBO, PhD candidate at Isep, Dr. Idowu AJAYI, Associate Professor at Isep, and Dr. HDR Lina MROUEH, Associate Professor at Isep. Discussions highlighted innovative approaches leveraging artificial intelligence, advanced signal processing, and physical-layer security to address growing constraints related to performance, energy efficiency, and reliability.

The topics covered key issues such as signal recognition in highly noisy environments, the design of energy-efficient and secure 6G physical layers, and the protection of wireless links in critical and constrained contexts. The exchanges emphasized the importance of integrated approaches combining algorithmic innovation with real-world hardware and operational considerations.

This seminar was a key moment for scientific exchange, fostering dialogue between fundamental research and practical applications, and illustrating Isep’s ability to anticipate technological developments in wireless systems.

A seminar at the heart of LISITE’s research priorities

This event is part of the dynamic driven by LISITE, Isep’s research laboratory, which brings together the expertise of the DaSSIP and ECoS groups through multidisciplinary and collaborative projects. The work presented reflects the laboratory’s strategic research areas, particularly embedded and communication systems, signal processing, connected objects (IoT), and cybersecurity.

Through this seminar, Isep reaffirms its commitment to high-level research focused on the scientific and technological challenges of tomorrow’s wireless systems.
