Isep Celebrates Its 70th Anniversary and Accelerates Its CSR Commitment!

18 July 2025

Since its creation, Isep has placed people at the heart of innovation. Today, on the occasion of its 70th anniversary, the school is strengthening its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and adapting to the major challenges of Environmental and Societal Transitions (EST).

A Human-Centered Approach to Digital Technology

The year 2025 marks a turning point: Isep is undertaking its first carbon footprint assessment and launching concrete actions to promote scientific careers for women. With the support and involvement of our Alumni, we continue our mission—to advance digital technology in service of humanity.

A Long-Standing Commitment That Continues to Grow

Long before CSR became a major concern, Isep had already launched impactful initiatives:

  • A green plan implemented from the opening of the Notre-Dame de Lorette campus

  • A strong inclusion and diversity policy, with gender parity among staff and 26% female students this year — a remarkable figure for a digital engineering school

  • Research projects aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): health, environment, digital sobriety…

  • A newly launched Bachelor’s in IT & Health, bridging technology and human well-being

Humanware: a vision of digital technology that is both ethical and responsible

With the appointment of Ms. Aline Aubertin as Director General, Isep reaffirms its core values:  Listening, Excellence, Commitment. This philosophy is reflected in our new visual identity and the signature “Humanware”, an approach where human values and ethics shape digital transformation.

To hardware and software, we add humanware. It is the engineer’s ethics that must guide innovation — not the other way around. That is our mission.”

Towards an Ambitious Environmental and Societal Transition

Isep is stepping up its efforts to support Environmental and Societal Transitions:

  1. An enriched curriculum covering ethics, environmental impact, and a deeper understanding of societal challenges
  2. Research focused on the theme “Digital Technology and Vulnerabilities”
  3. A carbon footprint assessment underway, with the active involvement of Alumni and partners
