Simon Pierre DEMBELE

Lecturer and Researcher, PhD

I have been a lecturer and researcher in computer science at Isep since October 2025. I obtained my PhD in July 2021 at ISAE-ENSMA (École Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d’Aérotechnique), where my research focused on energy efficiency in the operation of large-scale data storage systems.

I then worked as a teaching and research assistant (ATER) at the University of Poitiers, followed by a position as a research assistant at USTTB in Bamako, Mali, before becoming a lecturer and researcher in data management at the University of Tartu in Estonia.

My research mainly focuses on the analysis and energy optimization of data storage systems, as well as on eco-efficient query processing. I am also interested in intelligent data structuring (data modeling) and artificial intelligence applied to agriculture and healthcare.
