Isep at the 2025 Paris Air Show : A Partnership with Air France to Drive Innovation in Air Transport

18 July 2025

At the 2025 Paris Air Show, Isep signed an academic chair with Air France focused on digital technology applied to air transport, while also strengthening its ties with major players in the aerospace sector.

On the occasion of the International Paris Air Show 2025, Isep signed a new academic chair with Air France: “Digital Systems and Air Transport.” This marks a strong commitment to innovation in a sector undergoing profound transformation.

A Chair Dedicated to Digital Technology in the Aviation Sector

In response to the major technological and environmental challenges facing the aviation industry, Air France has sought to strengthen its ties with higher education by forming partnerships with several engineering schools. As part of this initiative, the airline officially signed the “Digital Systems and Air Transport” academic chair with Isep – the Engineering School for Digital Technologies – during the Paris Air Show with Jean-Marie Le Stum and Valérie Gary.

This partnership aims to support educational, technological, and scientific initiatives carried out at the school in key areas of digital innovation: IT, data, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and more. The goal is to train a new generation of engineers capable of driving the aviation sector’s digital transformation—particularly in fields such as maintenance, embedded systems, and operational optimization.

A Recognition of Isep’s Expertise

This partnership with Air France highlights the relevance of Isep’s academic programs and their ability to meet the real-world needs of companies. It aligns perfectly with the school’s strategy: bringing students closer to the professional world and co-developing pathways of excellence with key industry players.

For students, this collaboration opens up new opportunities: collaborative projects, internships, work-study programs, mentoring, and expert-led sessions. A direct bridge between campus and the digital cockpit.

An Active Presence at the Heart of the Show

Beyond the official signing, Isep was warmly welcomed by several major industry players present at the Paris Air Show, further strengthening its position within the aerospace technology landscape:

  • Invited by Sylvie Gobbatti, Head of Education Cooperation and School Relations, Isep representatives took part in the Academic Partners Day organized by Dassault Aviation. It was an opportunity to discuss the development challenges of the aerospace and defense sectors, particularly during talks by Valérie Guillemet (HR Director) and Pascale Lohat (Chief Technical Officer).
  • At the SII Group chalet, students and staff explored careers in the sector through immersive demonstrations, flight simulators, and engaging discussions with HR and engineering teams.
  • The event also offered a chance to reconnect with our partners at Capgemini, with whom we share a strong commitment to building an ethical, inclusive, and sustainable digital future. This close partnership continues to grow, notably through the “Responsible and Inclusive Digital Impact” academic chair.
