Evaluation of video indexing methods
The project's aim consists in the evaluation of the efficiency of several spatial-temporal indexing methods. The development will include three stages:
- Realisation of a benchmark consisting of several altered descriptions of the original video sequences: translations, rotations, luma / chroma variations, several quality layers.
- Indexing methods application and results gathering on the benchmark from (1).
- Results interpretation: methods evaluation from (2) in terms of indexing robustness (i.e. capacity to obtain similar descriptions for the altered versions of same video sequence).
The project gives the opportunity to accommodate with some video editing tools, like Avisynth / VirtualDub.
